Terms of Use
The short version: this site tells you what we make and lets you start a conversation. Nothing on it is a specification, a price, or an offer you can accept; what we supply is made to an agreed brief and confirmed in writing.
1. Who these terms are with
This website is operated by KGN Chemicals (PTY) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa, of 14 Wolverhampton, Hentha Industrial Park, Benoni, Gauteng. "We", "us" and "our" mean that company; "you" means anyone using the site.

2. Accepting them
By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Submitting an enquiry form also confirms that you accept them and that you have read our Privacy Policy.
3. What this site is for
It describes who we are and the kinds of flavour, emulsion and fragrance work we do, and it gives you a way to reach us. It is general information for business audiences.
Nothing on this site is an offer. No page, description, image or figure constitutes an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a commitment to supply any product at any price or within any timeframe. A supply arises only from a written quotation or order confirmation issued by us and accepted by you.
4. Product information
We manufacture to brief. The categories, profiles and applications shown here illustrate the type of work we do; they are not a catalogue of finished goods held in stock, and they are not specifications.
- Descriptions are indicative. Flavour profiles, formats and applications described on this site are examples, and the actual product supplied to you is the one described in the documentation issued with it.
- Technical documents govern. Where you need to rely on the properties of a product — composition, dosage, allergens, shelf life, storage, handling or safety — rely on the technical data sheet, specification and safety data sheet we issue for that product and batch, not on this website.
- Photography and video are illustrative. Imagery on this site depicts the food, beverage, cosmetic and related industries generally. It does not depict our own products, customers' products, or our premises unless it says so.
- Your product is your responsibility. You are responsible for determining that an ingredient is suitable and lawful for your finished product and for every market you sell it in, including labelling, permitted use levels, and any approval your product requires. We will help, but we cannot make that determination for you.
5. Certification and standards
Where this site refers to standards or certifications we hold, they relate to KGN Chemicals and its manufacturing operation. They are not a certification of your finished product. Current certificates are available on request, and you should ask for them rather than relying on this website if certification matters to your decision.
6. Business customers only
We supply ingredients to businesses that manufacture finished products. We do not sell to the public, and nothing on this site is an offer to supply a consumer.
This matters particularly for our vape and e-liquid flavour concentrates. Those are raw materials for licensed manufacturers, are not finished e-liquid, and are not intended for personal use, for direct inhalation, or for sale to consumers in the form we supply them. Anyone buying them is responsible for holding whatever registration, licence or approval their jurisdiction requires and for complying with every law applying to the manufacture, labelling, age-restriction and sale of the products they make.
7. Enquiries and quotations
When you submit an enquiry it reaches our inbox and a person reads it. We aim to respond promptly but do not guarantee a response time, and we may decline any enquiry.
Please do not send confidential information through the form. If your brief is commercially sensitive, say so and we will put a confidentiality agreement in place first. Information you send us without one is received in confidence to the extent the law implies it, but the form itself is not the place for your formulation.
Any quotation we give is valid only for the period it states and is subject to our terms of sale, which are provided with it and which prevail over anything on this website.
8. Intellectual property
The KGN Chemicals name, logo and wordmark, and the text, design, layout, graphics and code of this site, belong to us or are used under licence. You may view the site, and print or download extracts for your own internal business use in evaluating us as a supplier. You may not otherwise copy, republish, adapt or use any part of it commercially without our written permission.
Stock photography and footage on this site are used under the Pexels licence. Third-party names or marks appearing anywhere on the site remain the property of their owners and their use does not imply any endorsement or association.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site or the enquiry form for anything unlawful, misleading, or abusive;
- submit anyone else's personal information, or pretend to be someone you are not;
- send bulk, automated or unsolicited commercial messages through the form;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its endpoints or its hosting;
- introduce malicious code, or place undue load on the site; or
- scrape or systematically harvest content from the site.
We may withdraw access to the site from anyone who does any of these.
10. Third-party links
The site links to services we do not control, including WhatsApp and Pexels. Those links are for convenience. We are not responsible for the content of those sites or for how they handle your information, and their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave ours.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
12. Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law permits, we exclude implied warranties about the site itself and are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or data, arising from your use of the site or from reliance on general information published on it rather than on the technical documentation issued for a product.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 to the extent it applies to you. Nothing here limits our obligations under a supply contract, which are governed by our terms of sale.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here when you use the site is the version that applies, so please check the date at the top.
